Jennifer Garner recently turned 50 and she celebrated in the best way she thought possible.

She threw a wedding. For herself. And no one else. Talk about a milestone birthday that she will never forget.
But it wasn’t a publicity stunt, believe it or not. Far from it. Instead, Garner performed the so-called nuptials to herself for a good cause — asking her 5,000 “wedding” guests to bring backpacks filled with enough food for four in support of a program called Blessings in a Backpack.
“I basically had a wedding for myself,” she told Town & Country, laughing. “I was so shocked that I was doing it.”

Garner is widely considered one of Hollywood’s nicest celebrities, a moniker she wears with pride. “I have no reason not to be nice,” she told Town & Country. “My life is lovely.”
Of course, she is also human — meaning she experiences a wide range of emotions, just like the rest of us.
“I’m not always just nice. I can also be salty, and I can be taciturn, or I can be really serious about what I want to get done,” she said. “It’s not that I feel I’m underestimated in that way—I’m not afraid to stand up for myself and say, ‘Just so you know, this isn’t going to fly with me.’ When that happens, I don’t want you to be shocked that I’m a real person.”
Hopefully, her new spouse is OK with all that. Should be, given that she married herself.
Garner’s last real marriage came to fellow movie icon Ben Affleck, from 2005-18.
