Jeremy Renner is on the road to recovery! The Marvel actor has been updating his fans on his recovery via Instagram after a serious snowplow accident on January 2 left him with over 30 broken bones.

Renner’s recent Instagram story shows him working out on an exercise bike, indicating that he is up and moving again. In another story, Renner is seen holding a copy of Mark Nepo’s spirituality book, The Book of Awakening, suggesting that he is also working on his mental health.
Despite undergoing two surgeries, Renner was only in the hospital for two weeks. His friend and MCU colleague, Evangeline Lilly, visited him at home and expressed her surprise at how well he was doing, given the severity of the accident.

“He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It’s a miracle. It’s a straight-up miracle,” she stated. “He’s made of something really tough, that guy. You’ve always been able to see that in him and he is recovering incredibly.”
Jeremy Renner was reportedly trying to save his nephew from being run over by a snowplow when the vehicle began to slide and then crushed the actor, according to the incident report that was released by the authorities in Nevada.
The January 1st accident resulted in the 52-year-old suffering “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” resulting in 30 plus broken bones. According to a report that was obtained by CNN from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Renner used the machine in order to help move his adult nephew’s truck from the driveway after there was significant snowfall in the area.
However, the snow groomer then began to slide, causing Renner to “exit the vehicle without setting the emergency brake” which caused the machine to begin moving sideways down a hill.
