Donald Trump was famous long before he became president, and people once laughed at the idea that he could do it. So who are we to doubt Joe Exotic?

Yes, the star of the Netflix smash Tiger King documentary has announced he wants to not only be president, but that one of his policies would be to assassinate Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, told the New York Post he would run as a libertarian.

“We’ve taken out other people in the world. Why are we playing with this man? Are we that scared of his nuclear weapons? What’s going on [in] Ukraine is wrong,” Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, told the New York Post.

It could be a while before Exotic is eligible to run, of course. He is currently in prison until 2035 after a conviction that he intended to take out fellow Tiger King star Carole Baskin, who many think has taken out someone herself.

Exotic supposedly hired a hitman to kill Baskin, for those who don’t remember the show, which came out in 2020. He is now in federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas.

Anyway, ol’ Joe denied the Baskin conviction and even once asked Trump for a pardon.

As for his own candidacy, Exotic said he choose former congresswoman Liz Cheney to be his running mate.

“I mean, obviously she’s a Republican and I’m a Libertarian, so we’d have to discuss some items,” he said.

And yes, he appears very serious about all of this. Is Joe Exotic the man in the White House that America needs? He sure thinks so.

“I am going to have a voice this time, whether it’s with the Libertarian Party or if I have to change it at the last minute to a different party. I’m going to make America listen to what’s really going on in this country,” he said.
