And why not? Thanks to the trial, he’s more than $10 million richer.
Now, it appears that Depp is dating again, and the woman on his arm is no less than his attorney. No, not Camille Vasquez, the now-famous lawyer who represented Depp in the Heard defamation case.
Instead, it’s Joelle Rich, who represented him during a previous U.K. libel case. People first came out with the news of Depp’s new love interest.
“They are dating but it’s not serious,” a source told the publication.

Rich, 59, was on Depp’s legal team for his lawsuit against The Sun in 2020, a case that Depp lost. He had sued the newspaper for referring to him as a “wife-beater.”
Rich was married at the time but has since moved toward a divorce. She didn’t actually work the trial in the courtroom, according to reports, but did show up for moral support. And perhaps, just to hang with Depp.
“There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” an insider told Us Weekly, noting that Depp and Rich often met up at a hotel.
Later, rumors suggested that Depp was romantically involved with Vasquez, a notion she quickly shot down.
“I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job,” Vasquez told People. “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny — who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”
Either way, Depp is back on the scene after proving victorious in the Heard case.
“From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome,” Depp told Us Weekly after the verdict. “Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.”
