The action hero will star in a Hulu limited series about America’s first documented modern-day serial killer, USA Today reports. Keanu Reeves is also producing the program along with another massive talent, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Have no fear, Keanu Reeves fans: He won’t be playing the serial killer, H.H. Holmes, but rather an architect. The Holmes role will go to a different actor who is not yet cast, according to USA Today.

The program will be an adaptation of Erik Larson’s The Devil in the White City. The 2003 book stands as one of the most popular true-crime tomes ever.

DiCaprio acquired the rights to the project in 2010. But it subsequently stalled for more than a decade, according to USA Today. It is currently unclear whether DiCaprio will also act in the limited series, whose release date is yet unknown.

If Martin Scorsese directs the series, a rumor not yet confirmed, it would re-team him with DiCaprio. The two united for Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Keanu Reeves’ Illustrious Film Career

The series will be Reeves’ first dalliance with TV since he appeared in the comedy Swedish Dicks from 2016-2018.

At 57 years old, Reeves is perhaps more popular than ever. That is thanks in no small part for his starring role in the John Wick franchise. The fourth installment in that series is currently in post-production and set to hit theaters on March 24, 2023.

That said, Keanu Reeves’ filmography is loaded with classic action movies — The Matrix, Point Break, and Speed among them. In 2020, he and Bill & Ted partner released a new installment in the series: Bill & Ted Face the Music.
