“Platinum?! SWEEEET!!! An amazing crew of incredibly talented peeps put this one together” Jacobs wrote alongside his post.

He went on to say that he was “Deeply honored to be a creative part of it…Thank you Jesus!!!”

In November 2021, Curb Records revealed that Brice’s album Hey World had attained a gold certification and his hit track “One of Them Girls” had earned a double platinum certification, whereas “Memory I Don’t Mess With” was certified gold. Additionally, “Hard to Love,” a single that was featured on Brice’s second album, had received a quadruple platinum certification. According to All Music, Jacobs was a composer and producer on Hey World, as well as contributed on acoustic guitar and background vocals.

The Nashville Police Department stated on Friday that they had received a report from the Department of Emergency Communications about a home at 1:21 p.m. local time. Upon arriving at the site, the police and the Nashville Fire Department discovered the deceased body of the 49-year-old songwriter. “His death is being investigated as an apparent suicide,” they noted.

Authorities were told that Pickler was unable to locate Jacobs after waking up. She contacted the police alongside her personal assistant after they were unable to open a door to a room in the house.

Jacobs relocated to Nashville from Minneapolis in 2000 and has worked with several artists, including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Randy Travis, Scott McCreery, Josh Kelley, and Clay Walker. He notably wrote Brooks’ “More Than A Memory” in 2007 and McGraw’s “Still.” Throughout his career, Jacobs won a CMA Award, an ACM Award, and was nominated for a Grammy Award.

In 2011, he married Pickler in a private ceremony.
