Kelly Clarkson packed her 2022 tight with major achievements. But she experienced some darker episodes as well.
TMZ reported Monday that a presumed stalker trespassed onto Clarkson’s property and left her gifts multiple times over the past month. The American Idol singer/songwriter recently filed a police report against the man, whose name didn’t appear in the report.
He allegedly put cards, plants, and other gifts on her porch, according to TMZ.
Kelly Clarkson reportedly said she didn’t know the identity of the man. She apparently has surveillance footage of him, however.
Her security team filed the report with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on her behalf, TMZ said.
TMZ reported that LAPD Threat Management is investigating the alleged incidents. The team is allegedly trying to check the man’s background and determine whether he poses a threat.
Kelly Clarkson Crushed It in 2022
Other than those troubling incidents, Clarkson appears to be having a hell of a year.
Firstly, she and Dolly Parton teamed for a new version of the latter’s movie theme song “9 to 5.” The collaboration preceded the release of the recent documentary Still Working 9 to 5.
Last week, Clarkson and Parton joined forces again, this time for an off-the-cuff rendition of the Parton classic “I Will Always Love You.” They sang the tune on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the talk show that earned her Daytime Emmy Awards in the past three years.

Also on her talk show, Clarkson teamed with a much more unlikely friend — Dwayne Johnson — for a music performance. The pair did a two-minute rendition of “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin” — something Clarkson knows a little bit about — as a tribute to recently deceased country-music legend Loretta Lynn.
Clarkson’s Dizzying List of Recent Accomplishments
Beyond that, Clarkson solidified her return to The Voice for Season 23 of the singing competition. Speaking of which, she also nabbed a co-hosting gig on a somewhat similar show, American Song Contest.
As for her own singing career, Clarkson recently celebrated the 20-year anniversary of her American Idol win.
In terms of new material, Clarkson announced a new album three months ago. It’s due next year but doesn’t appear to have a title or release date quite yet.
Last but not least, Clarkson got a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood three months ago. Entertainers have to pony up $55,000 to have their name imprinted on the ground, but hey, Clarkson deserves all the recognition she can get.
