She did it. She finally did it. Kelly Clarkson is giving us what we have been begging for years! The divorce album is officially on its way. I think it’s safe to say that Clarkson is one of the busiest women in showbiz, killing it in the industry for more than 20 years. But in the last five, she’s been dipping her toes in the projects such as The Kelly Clarkson Show, American Song Contest, and The Voice. She also went on to release a Christmas album and her recent EP Kellyoke. (Which is amazing, might I add!)

All while dealing with a messy messy divorce, to say the least, which is why she hasn’t had time to release a full album. But, according to Variety, Clarkson revealed that she has already recorded the awaited album, which he has been working on for TWO years!

The album is said to be inspired by her split from Brandon Blackstock. “I told my label, ‘I can’t talk about this until I’ve gone through it,’ and it’s just taken some time to do that,” she stated. She did note that she wasn’t sure if she actually wanted to release an album in the first place. Some of the songs, they definitely cover the gamut of emotions; there’s everything on the album.”
Will we get another “Since U Been Gone” or another “Because of You?” It sure looks like it! The album has yet to have an official title but will be released sometime in 2023. The new album will follow her 2017 Meaning of Life, and yes she is expected to be going on tour. “When you write an album that’s so personal, it’s just therapeutic to be able to get up there,” she noted.
But while that was released, she revealed that she was already thinking about the possibility of returning to The Voice. Oh, and she also wants to make a debut on Broadway someday. We just hope she has a little room to breathe in that busy schedule.
