False Claims

A month ago, Smithline’s lawsuit against Manson was dismissed by a Los Angeles judge. She filed a written declaration to the LA Superior Court. She is now claiming that Evan Rachel Wood pressured her into making the false allegations.

Ashley spoke about going to a meeting with other women who had maintained intimate experiences and relationships with Manson.

I remember [Wood] asked me whether I had been, among other things, whipped, chained, tied up, branded/cut, assaulted while sleeping, beaten, or raped. She said all of these things happened to Ms. Wood and others, and that when Ms. Wood was with [Manson] every moment was a moment of survival.”

Smithline went on to say, “When I said, no this did not happen to me and this was not my experience, I recall being told by Ms. Wood that just because I could not remember did not necessarily mean that it did not happen.”

Twisted Encounters

The model claims that Wood was gaslighting her about the allegations and she wasn’t the only one. Smithline names Ashley Walters, Manson’s former assistant, and Esme Bianco, an actor on the show Game Of Thrones. She says that each of the women manipulated her into believing that she had inappropriate sexual experiences with Manson.

“Eventually, I started to believe that what I was repeatedly told happened to Ms. Wood and Ms. Bianco happened to me,” Smithline explained.

The model’s allegations have been denied by Wood. Her representatives have released a statement in response.

“Evan never pressured or manipulated Ashley. It was Ashley who first contacted Evan about the abuse she had suffered. It’s unfortunate that the harassment and threats Ashley received after filing her federal lawsuit appear to have pressured her to change her testimony.”
