Brendan Fraser has returned to the spotlight after his historic, 6-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. After what seemed like an awfully long hiatus from the public eye, it was clear that his fans missed him as he and they teared up at the event. But Hollywood isn’t the only thing Fraser is making a comeback in — he has a new love! Meet Brendan Fraser’s girlfriend, Jeanne Moore.

Who Is Brendan Fraser’s Girlfriend, Jeanne Moore?
As Fraser is making the rounds at all the latest film festivals, so too is his partner, Jeanne. She was photographed alongside Fraser at the Venice Film Festival while wearing a gorgeous black gown. She wore a plunging royal blue dress at the BFI London Film Festival. And recently, she was spotted wearing an empire waist seafoam blue dress at the Mill Valley Film Festival. So who is this lovely lady who is attending all these premieres with The Mummy actor?
Jeanne Moore is a professional makeup artist and hair stylist based in New York and Los Angeles. She also does special effects makeup. Her resume includes working on a variety of film and music video projects, including Steak or Ramen and Hitta Like Me. She’s done cover shoots, high fashion, editorials, runway, and even special effects prosthetics.
Moore has worked with celebrities such as Paula Abdul, Billy Blanks and Billy Blanks Jr., and Marie Osmond. She keeps her Instagram private, but she does post about her work on Facebook and Twitter.
Both Jeanne Moore and Brendan Fraser keep their personal lives private, so we don’t know much more about Jeanne. We don’t even know her birthday or astrological sign (sigh). But we do know that she and Fraser look very happy (and they sure know how to dress up together).
Brendan Fraser Has Kids With Former Wife Afton Smith
Fraser used to be married to Afton Smith. They met at a party thrown by Winona Ryder in 1993 and got married in 1998. They had three sons together: Griffin Arthur (born September 17, 2002), Holden Fletcher (born August 16, 2004), and Leland Francis (born May 2, 2006).
Fraser and Afton separated in 2007 and officially divorced in 2009. In February of 2013, the New York Post reported that Fraser petitioned the court to reduce his whopping $900,000 annual child support and alimony payments. He said his career had taken a hit and he couldn’t afford that amount. But Afton hit back, claiming that he was hiding his assets. Fraser ended up losing that battle, as the court said that he could only get a reduced payment if he made less than $3 million a year. At the time, Fraser was worth about $24.7 million.
As for his kids now, they live with Afton in Greenwich, Connecticut. But Fraser says his kids visit him often at his property in Bedford, New York, which is just over the state line.
He Was In and Out of Hospital for 7 Years
After that, Fraser had to undergo a series of surgeries, which didn’t help things. He told GQ that he had to get a laminectomy, a partial knee replacement, and have his vocal cords repaired. He said he was in and out of hospitals for 7 years — which is why we didn’t see much of him until The Whale.
“This is gonna really probably be a little saccharine for you,” Fraser told GQ. “But I felt like the horse from Animal Farm, whose job it was to work and work and work… He worked for the good of the whole, he didn’t ask questions, he didn’t make trouble until it killed him.… I don’t know if I’ve been sent to the glue factory, but I’ve felt like I’ve had to rebuild shit that I’ve built that got knocked down and do it again for the good of everyone. Whether it hurts you or not.”
Fraser’s #MeToo Moment May Have Led to a Career Low Point
There’s more to the story, though. Fraser has a #MeToo story that he believed at one point got him blacklisted from Hollywood.
Fraser alleged that the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) once sexually assaulted him. For the record, the HFPA hosts the Golden Globes, so this was certainly an uncomfortable moment. They were at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2003 when Philip Berk allegedly did something that made Fraser feel stricken with fright.
“His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint,” said Fraser. “And he starts moving it around.” He said he had to remove Berk’s hands.
Berk later claimed that he simply pinched Fraser’s butt cheek. “Mr. Fraser’s version is a total fabrication,” he said.
Fraser was left dealing with the trauma of the incident while also seeing a steady drop in requests for his appearances. He said that he was “rarely” invited to the Golden Globes after that.
But being the survivor that he is, the Bedazzled actor did keep at his career. Although it wasn’t quite as illustrious as he may have liked it to be in recent years, it didn’t fade away completely. The Whale has already garnered him a TIFF Award for his performance.
It’s clear that Fraser’s “Brenaissance” is just gaining steam. Let’s hope that the same holds true for Fraser and his girlfriend, too.
