Taylor Sheridan, the Actor

Sheridan’s honors mostly revolve around his writing accomplishments. He got nominated for an Oscar for writing the screenplay to Hell or High Water, while his screenplay for Sicario garnered Sheridan a Best Original Screenplay nomination from the Writers Guild of America Awards.

However, he launched his career with roles in Veronica Mars; Walker, Texas Ranger; and Sons of Anarchy. In fact, it wasn’t until after he turned 40-years-old that Taylor Sheridan transitioned into screenwriting.

“I would say [Wind River] is my feature debut,” he told Rotten Tomatoes. “A friend of mine raised — I don’t know what he raised — 20 grand or something, and cast his buddies, and wrote this bad horror movie [Vile], that I told him not to direct. He was going to direct it and produce it, and he started and freaked out, and called and said, “Can you help me?” I said, “Yeah, I’ll try.” I kind of kept the ship pointed straight, and they went off and edited, and did what they did. I think it’s generous to call me the director.”

Taylor Sheridan, the Creator

Sheridan’s Yellowstone is one of the most popular shows on TV. It has two spinoffs: 1883 and 1923. A trailer for the latter, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, premiered yesterday.

Starring Kevin Costner, Yellowstone is known for keeping fans glued to their television sets. Season 5 launched earlier this month on the Paramount Network with a two-hour debut episode.

Yellowstone has been one of the biggest hits of the streaming era. Season 4 premiere brought in more than 14 million viewers becoming the cable’s highest-rated show. Last season’s finale garnered more than 10 million viewers.

Taylor Sheridan’s Family Life

Meanwhile, the prolific Taylor Sheridan is also a family man. He married actress/model Nicole Muirbrook in 2013, and they have a son. The family lives in Weatherford, Texas, according to CultureMap.com.
