Meghan McCain has announced that she is expecting her second daughter with husband Ben Domenech. The 37-year-old former co-host of The View tied the knot in 2017. The couple already shares 2-year-old Liberty.

“Ben and I feel so blessed that we will be adding a new member to our family this winter, a baby sister for our daughter Liberty!,” McCain stated. “We are more than halfway to meeting our newest daughter and we couldn’t be more excited.”
“Our whole family, especially her grandmas, cannot wait to smother her with all the love and affection we can possibly give,” she added. “Ben and I are truly thrilled and counting down the days to grow our family and meet our newest addition!”
McCain went on to retweet her Daily Mail article announcing her pregnancy. She wrote, “some personal news,” with a red heart. McCain spoke with ET back in October 2021 gushing over her daughter, who she welcomed in 2020.

“I just didn’t think I could love anything the way that I love my dad,” Meghan McCain told ET. “I felt that kind of pure love was gone and it was something that I experienced, it was over now, but I love her. I don’t like to gauge love but I love her just as much, if not more, and it’s this pure feeling of just, she’s perfect even when she, like, spits up or I have to change her diaper, I think it’s perfect.”
Earlier this year she also opened up to People revealing that her daughter Liberty had some of the same habits as her dad. John McCain died on August 25, 2018 after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. “So this is very strange … DNA and genes are strange,” McCain stated. “[Liberty] does this thing with her hands, and [my dad] used to do that all the time. I don’t do it. I don’t know where it comes from but she does it even now.”
She went on to add, “I told my mother-in-law it creeps me out when she does it because it’s this tic my dad used to do with his hands.”
