It seems as if everything Taylor Sheridan writes turns for television turns to gold, especially television.

Sheridan, of course, is the man behind the smash hit Peacock series Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, as well as its prequels, 1883 and 1923. A one-time actor, Sheridan has also written the highly praised movies Wind River and Sicario, among others, since making the move to mostly screenwriting.

Oh, he’s also co-creator of the Jeremy Renner-led hit Mayor of Kingstown and Sylvester Stallone comeback series, Tulsa King.

Now, he appears ready for yet another new project, and per Variety, it will feature none other than Nicole Kidman.

Nicole Kidman Cast in ‘Lioness’

The show, entitled Lioness, is based on a real-life CIA series and has been picked up by Paramount+. Kidman will star in the leading role, as CIA senior supervisor Kaitlyn Meade.

According to the show’s description, Kidman’s Meade “must juggle the trappings of being a woman in the high-ranking intelligence community, a wife that longs for the attention she herself can’t even give and a mentor to someone veering suspiciously close to the same rocky road she’s found herself on.”

Sheridan, meanwhile, not only created Lioness but will serve as executive producer. That is often the case with him. He still will dabble in acting from time to time, usually, in the series he creates, in limited roles. But it’s what he does as a writer that has made him Hollywood’s brightest creator.

As for Lioness, the description said it follows “Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.”

Other cast members, per Variety: Zoe Saldaña, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, and Jonah Wharton.
