Pamela Anderson is ready to tell it all. The 54-year-old actress opened up about her life in an upcoming Netflix documentary. The project has been in the works for a few years now, but landed at the streaming service, according to a press release. Ryan White is set to direct the film and will be co-produced by one of Anderson’s Sons, Brandon Thomas Lee, who she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee. The movie is set to be an “intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson that actually looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey.”

Sharing the news on Instagram, Anderson posted a photo of a handwritten note on a Netflix letterhead.

“My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions,” she captioned it. “Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you — Not a victim, but a survivor & Alive to tell the real story.” She went on to sign the note with a lipstick kiss print on the bottom. The news of the documentary comes after Hulu aired its Emmy nominee series, Pam & Tommy. The limited drama series was set in the late 1990s and shows the time when Anderson and Lee were the center of their scandal after their sex tape was released. The tape was stolen by a former employee who then leaked the tape to the public.

According to People, a source close to Anderson stated that  the show revisited “a very traumatic time” in Anderson’s life and that the show was heavily re-exploiting the actress.” After the tape was made public, it was a very traumatizing situation and it’s unfair that she is being re-subjected to this trauma, like reopening a wound,” the source stated. “Pamela deserves a level of respect. She’s a human being and a mom. There’s a sense of hypocrisy about it. It’s her life and she should have the decision [as to] whether it’s turned into a commodity for public consumption.”

The show featured Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee and Lily James as Anderson. James reportedly did try to reach out to Anderson about the project, but unfortunately didn’t get a response. “I was really hopeful that she would be involved. I wish it had been different,” James, stated at that time.. “My sole intention was to take care of the story and to play Pamela authentically. I was very hopeful that we would be in touch right up until we started filming.”
