Cute Black Bear Cubs Caught Climbing Trail Cam

Does a bear record in the woods?

Videos by Rare

Well, apparently baby bears do, as several cubs found a camera used to record wildlife. The results were to be expected.

Luckily, they were caught in the act by a second camera, as they left their mother’s side to go climb on the first. The camera was placed by pro photographer/videographer Dan Elster, who regularly sets out trail cams to record the goings-on with wildlife.

This time, the cubs decided that the mounted camera would be best served as a jungle gym. The mom, on the other hand, just kept on walking.

Little Rascals!

Like human toddlers, they explore their surroundings by stumbling around, appearing amazed by the vast world they’re in. They climb on anything available and eat what their mother provides, just enjoying life to the fullest.

As for the sibling, well, there was interest, but it didn’t want to actually mess with the gadget. It let the other youngster do the damage.

“This family and I are having fun trying to outwit each other,” Elster wrote in the caption on his YouTube channel. “One of the cubs got the better of me on this day!”

Elster generally captures shots of bears, bobcats, birds and the like via his equipment. But he indicated this is the first time his equipment was captured by something else. And it couldn’t have made for a better recording.
