These dudes went diving for fish in New Zealand, but they had a “whale” of a time instead

If only we could be so lucky.

Sam Galloway and his friends went spearfishing in Little Barrier, New Zealand and ended up having a “whale” of a time.

These people were pleasantly surprised that a pod of killer whales decided to swim by. The camera was rolling under the water and it’s pretty amazing how close up to the whales they got.

Galloway uploaded the video to YouTube and wrote the following:

While out for a spearfish/cray dive at Little Barrier, a pod of Orcas (Killer Whales) came cruising past us. We saw them twice as they did laps of the island, hunting stingray in the shallows. The larger ones weren’t very interested in us but the calves came in for a close look.

What do you think?
