Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan were spotted sitting in a car together. And Paris Hilton threw back to the incident with a hilarious Avengers meme.

The Paris Hilton – Lindsay Lohan – Britney Spears Avengers Photo Was Nicknamed “The Holy Trinity”
It was March of 2018, and the meme went like this: Marvel: “Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history.” Me: [Insert Photo]. Paris Hilton caught onto the moment and posted a photo from November 2006. She was driving and wearing a goofy grin. Next to her was Britney Spears, pensively looking at Paris. And in the righthand passenger seat was a very orange-looking Lindsay Lohan, eyes wide and set on the paparazzi. The trio was labeled the “Holy Trinity.”
Paris’s photo was throwing back to November 27, 2006. A couple more pap photos captured the trio walking out of the Beverly Hills Hotel, having a “girls’ night out,” and then sitting in the car, smiling. This was back in their heyday of debauchery — for all three. It was a week before Britney Spears’ 25th birthday. Paris Hilton was 25 and Lindsay Lohan was 20.
It’s not clear if they were drinking, and if they were, Lohan would have been underage.
Paris Hilton Was Months Away from Jail at That Point
About 9 weeks earlier, Paris was arrested for a reckless driving incident while intoxicated. She was pulled over more than once in subsequent months and told that she was driving with a suspended license in January 2007. By May of 2007, Paris was sentenced to 45 days of jail for violating probation and continuously failing to enroll in court-ordered alcohol education classes. She only served about 5 days, and it certainly wasn’t the end of Paris’ partying. In 2010, Paris was caught with cocaine and sentenced to more probation.
Lindsay Lohan Was About to Start an On-Off Relationship With Rehab
About a month after the trio was in Hilton’s car together, Lohan’s publicist would announce that she was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. In January 2007, Lohan checked into rehab for the first time. She’d continue to check into rehab, get out and party, get arrested, and go back to rehab for years. At one point, she got in trouble for stealing a necklace. At another point, her legal troubles involved cocaine.
Britney Spears Was Months Away from Her Infamous Breakdown
In February 2007, Britney Spears shaved her head, got a new tattoo, and also checked into rehab. Five years later, a former confidante would testify that Spears was hooked on drugs — including a white powdery substance — and chose to shave her head because she was afraid her hair could be tested and she’d lose custody of her sons. And now we also know that there was much more to her story due to her father’s conservatorship.
Paris Hilton Told MTV Australia That Lindsay Lohan “Wasn’t Invited”
So back to that photo: Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears are sitting in a car.
Apparently, Lohan was a third wheel. MTV Australia showed Hilton a photo in 2017 and asked her about it.
“It’s like Charlie’s Angels,” Hilton says, giggling. “Well actually, it was just Brit and I out. And then she just chased us to the car and got in. She wasn’t invited.”
Asked how Hilton could have told Lohan to get out, Hilton added, “You’re not on the list.”
“I mean, I think she’s doing very well in Mykonos now,” added the host.
“Yeah, sure,” said Hilton, laughing deviously.
It Was Really Just a Paris Hilton and Britney Spears Night Out
“Britney and I went out for the night,” Paris Hilton later explained to Radio Andy on Sirius XM. “[Lindsay] totally party crashed. Like, we were all at the Beverly Hills Hotel at the Bungalows during an after party. And Britney and I wanted to leave to go home. And then she started like, chasing us and then squeezed in the car. It was literally a two-seater [Mercedes-Benz] SLR.”
“I didn’t want to humiliate her in front of all the paparazzi and be like, ‘get out of my car,’” Hilton added.
“I always assumed that the three of you had some kind of wild night out,” said Andy. “But that was actually the end of a night out with you and Britney… So, then when you pulled away, did you like, drop her off at the end of the driveway of the Beverly Hills Hotel or what?”
“We went back to my house and then Britney and I just went to sleep. And then, I don’t know,” Hilton said about whatever Lindsay did. “There was no Uber back then, so she probably like, called a cab. I have no idea.”
Paris Hilton Is Good Friends With Britney Spears but Not with Lindsay Lohan
Hilton then confirmed that Spears was having a sleepover. “She’s so sweet. I love her,” she revealed. Hilton added that she and Spears last saw each other at the singer’s show in Vegas. But because of her Las Vegas residency and the fact that Hilton travels 300 days a year, their schedules are too busy to spend more time together. “I love her,” she said a second time.
“And what about Lohan?” asked Andy. “Do you ever see her?”
Paris Hilton said no.
“Were you ever pals?”
“Yes,” Paris confirmed, much to Andy’s surprise.
“Was that like a famous falling out?” he asked. “No?”
“Um, just back in the day we were friends but [she’s] just like one of those people that I don’t really trust. And I only like to be around positive energy and good people.”
“She was too much drama for you,” Andy added.
“Mhm. Good vibes only,” Paris chimed in.
Wild, isn’t it? The entire planet got a totally different impression from the Lohan – Hilton – Spears photo. They weren’t actually all hanging out. Lohan hopped in the two-seater car at the last minute.
Hilton and Lohan Have Been Called “Frenemies,” But That’s In the Past
Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan were spotted hanging out over several years but it’s true that there was also a ton of drama. Neither seemed to be too nice to the other, but when they were confronted, they’d usually say the media was lying and they were really friends.
Regardless of whatever “frenemy” dynamic they had, Lohan did extend an olive branch. It was actually right before Hilton initially threw her under the bus in 2017 about the Holy Trinity photo.
Lohan had invited Paris Hilton and Britney Spears (as well as Beyoncé) out to Mykonos to celebrate her 31st birthday. “#nicegirls @britneyspears @parishilton come to #mykonos for my birthday this weekend ? @Beyonce you too,” she wrote.
Sadly, they didn’t go.
But last year, Hilton corrected the record and said she and Lindsay Lohan had grown past their animosities.
“No bad vibes,” she said.
