Sam Asghari claimed that his wife, Britney Spears, has full control of her life despite her family’s planned intervention. He confirmed on Thursday that the intervention didn’t happen, but didn’t address the existence of the plan.

In a statement to Access Hollywood, Asghari, 28, stated “My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances.”
“Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately,” he added.
Spears also denied that she was in need of an intervention, sharing, “It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died.”
Asghari’s vague clarification came after several news outlets had confirmed that Spears’ family and friends were in talks to stage an intervention out of fear for her well-being.

TMZ had initially reported that Sam and others in her inner circle had aimed to convince her to undergo treatment and reside in a LA residence for two months. However, a source revealed to Page Six that the intervention was not required, and never took place.
“Unfortunately, there is a lot of hysteria in the media right now, but Britney is fine, and much of this has been overblown and grossly distorted,” the insider shared.
Spears did have a meeting with a doctor on Wednesday that allegedly went well, however, it’s unclear if she met with a therapist or a physician. In January, worries for Britney Spears rose when she was seen upset at a restaurant. Several fans were reportedly filming her and posting content online, later calling authorities to do a police welfare check on her after she suddenly removed her Instagram. Police verified she wasn’t at risk, saying “We don’t discuss mental health issues.”
Spears later returned to social media to explain the events. “It is what it is … nope I’m not having a breakdown … I am who I am and moving forward in my life. I have never felt better !!!,” she stated.
“I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded,” she stated.
