“It has been an interesting morning for us. As we said, Savannah left early, she wasn’t feeling great, so she took a COVID test. It came back positive. So, of course, as soon as we found out, she rushed home to rest up. So Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery,” Jones stated.

Jones went on to add, “So, as soon as we found out, she rushed home to rest up. So Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Savannah Guthrie Gets COVID-19

This isn’t the first time the co-anchor, who is vaccinated, had to miss Today due to a positive CPVID test. Her first time off the air was in January 2022. Her sick day comes a day after her Today co-host Hoda Kotb was absent.

She was last seen on air on February 17, and on February 20, she was featured on a pre-taped episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, alongside Jenna Bush Hager. Fans have also noticed that she didn’t release a new episode of her weekly podcast, Making Space, this week. While she hasn’t publicly revealed the reason for her absence, she has continued to post on her Instagram account, sharing inspirational quotes, including one last week that said, “One day you will see just how brave you have been.”
