But according to Sigourney Weaver, Alien originally included a love scene that would’ve catered to most Homo sapiens.
“Would you really get it on while this thing is running around?” Weaver recently said, according to People. Maron agreed it would have derailed the horror story with silliness.
Sigourney Weaver, who is scantily clad in underwear during much of the 1979 sci-fi classic, also revealed that the makers of Alien initially didn’t want her for part.
“I was an unknown, and there were people with names trying to get this part. [But] I was on the [producers’] shortlist for reasons that I don’t know,” Weaver said. “I wasn’t very interested. It was science-fiction, which I knew very little about.”
Sigourney Weaver Won’t Quit
The 72-year-old has lots more on her plate than ever before.

The highest-profile films on Sigourney Weaver’s agenda are James Cameron’s two sequels to Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time. She will reprise her Kiri character in Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar 3, both of which are in post-production.
Meanwhile, Sigourney Weaver is currently filming a crime thriller, Master Gardener, Joel Edgerton. Paul Schrader, who wrote Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, is the writer and director behind the new indie flick.
