‘South Park’ Fans Go Wild After They Finally Reveal Kenny’s Face After 10 Years

New York Post

Any fan of South Park knows that the character of Kenny, who was known in the past for dying in various ways at the end of each episode, rarely has his face shown throughout the series. Kenny is almost always fully engulfed in an orange puffer jacket, completely concealing his face and muffling his voice. However, in the most recent episode of South Parks 26th season that aired this past Tuesday, Kenny was featured without his signature jacket.

In the episode in question, Cartman has a dream where he and Kenny are both restaurant owners. Kenny is seen standing next to Cartman during the sequence without his hooded jacket, instead wearing a t-shirt that reads “Restaurant Owner.” Kenny’s face is fully seen, including his well-styled blonde hair. He is also donning some cool-guy sunglasses that seem to be modeled after Aviators.

Fans Go Crazy Over Kenny’s Appearance

Twitter went into a frenzy after the appearance of Kenny’s uncovered face. One Twitter user by the name of @westville_rat tweeted, “Soo we just not gonna talk about how you see Kenny’s face in the new south park,” while Twitter user @OmidIranmanesh tweeted, “Nice to see Kenny’s uncovered face with his blonde hair. It’s the second time I’ve seen this. (Remember South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut?).”

While this is not the first time Kenny’s face has been uncovered, it hasn’t been seen since South Park‘s 16th season. Kenny’s face has appeared in South Park 12 times since the show’s debut season in 1997, with the most prominent being in the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. In South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, Kenny saves the world from eternal damnation from beyond the grave, and removes his hood to say farewell to his friends before he enters the afterlife. However, Kenny still appeared in episodes of the show like nothing happened after the film was released in 1999.

Because it hasn’t been shown in a while on the show, South Park fans can’t help but be captivated by seeing Kenny’s face. Twitter user and die-hard South Park fan @sun_kissin tweeted, “I don’t think non-sp people realize just how much of a huge deal it is when we actually get to see Kenny’s face. It’s such a rare occurrence that we may as well be seeing a unicorn, but better. LOOK HOW CUTE HE IS.”
