“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” the 34-year-old continued. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”

TMZ was the first to report the news of his passing. Boss rose to fame as a popular contestant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project and later became a runner-up on Star Search. He went on to compete in So You Think You Can Dance in 2008, ending season 4 as a runner-up and quickly returning as an All-Star. The dancer quickly became a judge when the show ran again in 2002.

In 2014, Boss joined Ellene Degeneres on her show as a DJ. He went on to become a permanent fixture on the show and was quickly promoted to Co-executive producer status in 2020.

He is survived by his wife Allison and his children Zaia, 3, Maddox, 6, and Weslie, 14.
