A large reason they know is because of Zombie himself, as he’s been touting the project on social media. It appears that the Zombie-led film will begin streaming on Netflix on September 27. Netflix also made the announcement.

“Why is this vampire swooning? Because in exactly one month THE MUNSTERS premieres on Netflix,” Zombie shared on his Instagram page on August 27.

In case you weren’t yet aware, Jeff Daniel Phillips will portray Herman Munster and Sheri Moon Zombie will Lily Munster. Daniel Roebuck co-stars as Grandpa Munster. And yes, Sherri Moon Zombie is Rob Zombie’s wife. They married in 2002 after nine years of dating.

The Munsters Premiers on Netflix!

Anyway, Netflix summarized the film this way:

“Herman and Lily’s crazy courtship takes The Munsters on a hauntingly hilarious trip from Transylvania to Hollywood in the all-new feature length film.”

Along with the aforementioned actors, Dee Wallace, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson and Jorge Garcia will also star in the movie. Original members of The Munsters television series, Butch Patrick and Pat Priest, will be there, too.

The TV show ran for just two seasons after launching in 1964, but has been a cult classic in syndication and currently be streamed on Peacock. Fans will also be happy to know the movie will be available on Blu-ray and VOD, also starting September 27.
