After a long night of seeing Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perform in Albany, New York, Patrick Papino and his daughter Isabelle got home a little later than normal for a 12 year old.

This meant a late bed time and inevitably a late arrival at school.
When Isabelle went to school the next morning she was armed with a note from her father which explained to her teacher why she had arrived late.
“Darned if he didn’t play for three and a half hours,” Papino explained to the teacher.
“This may not seem like a good excuse, but have you ever wondered how many kids would be late — or miss school outright — if God were to suddenly appear?” he then asked.
“It’s something like that.”
After his school note went viral, Papino explained to the Albany Times Union that his daughter was a huge Springsteen fan and loved the 34-song set Bruce played in Albany.
