After all, it appears that Sister Act 3 is in the works. That comes straight from Goldberg herself. She revealed she is looking for some new sisters during an appearance on Comedy Central’s Hell of a Week with host Charlamagne Tha God.

“I want everybody,” she said of casting possibilities. “I want as many people who want to have some fun, because I really, desperately need to have some fun.”

Goldberg specifically named Nicki Minaj, Lizzo and Keke Palmer as entertainers she would like to add to the third installment of the comedy. The script is expected to be ready to go by the end of October.

Meanwhile, Tyler Perry is already committed as a producer of the project.

The first Sister Act was released 30 years ago, in 1992. Goldberg portrays a lounge singer who was placed in witness protection, and therefore joined a convent to stay ined.

It grossed $230 million worldwide and spawned a franchise, including the sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit in 1993 and a musical in 2006.

Sister Act 3 will premiere on Disney+ once it’s released.

No sex? No booze? No men? No way. That’s the rally cry of the original Sister Act, and per Goldberg, there will be plenty more where that came from.
