Eddie Munson, with his gnarly cover of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” stole the spotlight in Season 4 of Stranger Things. But it’s Millie Bobby Brown who’s proving to be the off-screen badass.
Millie Bobby Brown will scoop up a $10 million paycheck to star in Enola Holmes 2, Variety reports. While that might not seem like a lot of dough for veteran actors, it’s impressive for Brown, who is only 18 years old.
In fact, thanks to the hefty paycheck, Millie Bobby Brown is making history. She is breaking the record for the largest upfront salary earned by an actor under age 21. She is already among the ranks of the 10 richest teens in the world, according to Go Banking Rates.
The list also features Billie Eilish with $30 million, JoJo Siwa with $20 million, and Willow Smith with $6 million.
As for Netflix’s Enola Holmes 2 film, it is expected to start streaming later this year.
Millie Bobby Brown In The Movies: A Recap
Millie Bobby Brown starred in the first film tied to the young-adult mystery franchise, which Netflix also released, in 2020. The original also featured Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin and Helena Bonham Carter.
Meanwhile, the sequel is due to star Paige Brown, Ali Mendes, Mary Parent and Alex Garcia.
This won’t be Brown’s first dalliance with film. She also starred in blockbusters Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019 and Godzilla vs. Kong the following year. While the multiple episodes of Netflix’s Stranger Things ran over an hour, they’re still considered TV episodes, not films.
Millie Bobby Brown broke through with her role as Eleven in Stranger Things. While questions surrounded the “weirdo” character early in the series, Season 4 transformed into the character that viewers root for the most.
Netflix has not yet announced when final season of Stranger Things is due to begin.
