Her conservatorship was legally ended by a judge in November 2021, but the diva has continued to be in the spotlight for the issue. Ongoing speculation about her relationship with her father has prompted a lot of back-and-forth criticism. It’s never ending.

“I’ve been utterly and completely embarrassed of my past.”

“It’s crazy … social media … everybody’s life seems so perfect and when I post things I think most of the time I’ve been utterly and completely embarrassed of my past … and who can forget those documentaries ???” the singer captioned.

Britney went on to explain why the intense and ruthless publicity and criticism she’s received has prompted her to show her best side.

Britney Spears Admits She Needs Help

“I do try and post me looking my best or what it may seem to be the good life … well the truth is, my spirits are better but I will forever be traumatized by my past experience for life … there is no way to fix me, my emotions and my sensitivity … therapy, all of it !!!” Britney admitted.

She continued, “I think I will need some sort of miracle for my emotions. My life is by no means picture perfect … I cry myself to sleep most night … I’m insecure as hell … I don’t know how to have good posture unless I’m on camera … and I need to go to a school just to be taught how to freaking walk.”

Wow!

Most of these things probably seem unfathomable to the average fan or hater. We all tend to make judgements about those we don’t know, especially when they’re famous. But it’s so important to remember that famous people are human just like us. They struggle, they grieve, and most importantly, they’re not “perfect.” Britney knows this and it seems like a part of her needs the world to know this too.

Here’s to Britney Spears’ healing. May we all find the help and guidance we need for our mental health and wellbeing.

  1. A conservatorship over the “estate” includes authority to make decisions about the conservatee’s assets, such as managing rental property, collecting income, paying bills and investing. The scope of a conservator’s authority may include both the “person” and “estate” or it may be limited to one or the other.
