How Carmen Electra Got Her Groove Back: Actress Joins ‘OnlyFans’

Carmen Electra wants to be in control of her image. The Baywatch star, model, singer, actress, and celebrity icon just turned 50. Hence, she’s tired of being told what to do. Electra is therefore joining OnlyFans so she can reclaim her power and post whatever she wants to.

Electra tells People, “I just felt like, ‘Yeah, I need to do this. I, for once, have this opportunity to be my own boss and have my own creative vision to share with my fans without someone standing over me, telling me, ‘Don’t do this, don’t do that. Cover up this.’ ”

This decision comes on the heels of Electra’s lawsuit wins against several strip clubs. She joined other women in suing the clubs for using their trademarked images without permission.

Admittedly, OnlyFans has a rap for being synonymous with the sex and adult entertainment industry. However, Electra says that her content will be a little different. She plans to post about vacations and beauty tutorials, and lingerie and swimwear photos. Electra also intends to post “more sexy, classy pictures and videos” and acknowledges that she won’t need filters and cover-up emojis. Additionally, she says that she has the opportunity to have one-on-one interactions with her fans, allowing for a little bit more intimacy.

Electra doesn’t seem to mind being sexualized. Basically, the point is that she’s in control of her own image.

She admits, “People are going to do what they want to do anyway with your photos, you might as well be in control of them and follow what you feel like doing inside.”

Electra’s OnlyFans account was published on Wednesday. She made an announcement on both her Instagram and Facebook profiles.

“Surprise! I’ve joined the OnlyFans platform! I’ll be sharing Behind-the-scene shots, selfies, special requests, and never before seen content! I’m baring it all for you bb.”

Electra isn’t the first celebrity to join OnlyFans. Other celebs on the platform include Cardi B, DJ Khaled and Fat Joe, Amber Rose, and Bella Thorne.
