TMZ is reporting that eBay currently has “tons of listings” for Depp–Heard spectator wristbands that were required to gain entry to the courtroom for the trial that wrapped up two days ago.
TMZ says eBay has used wristband listings ranging from $50 to $4.999.
One such listing has a photograph of what looks like a laminated scrap of orange paper dated May 26, 2022 with “5J” written on it in black marker. The listing tells you that May 26 was a significant day in the trial, because that was the day Amber returned to the witness stand and testified that she was receiving death threats from Depp fans. The price is $850.
If you don’t have that kind of money but you still want the item, you might be eligible for PayPal credit, and the wristband can be yours for a mere 24 monthly payments of $38.
Seriously, you can have that sucker paid off….in two years.
Most of the sellers are hyping up the “epic trial,” trying to hook a sucker buyer, and they’re pushing the get a “piece of history” angle.
Some sellers are even trying to auction wristbands from the overflow area, which wasn’t even a seat in the actual courtroom. But don’t worry, they claim it’s “great memorabilia” which allowed them to see Johnny and his lawyer Camille Vasquez in action.
Roughly 100 wristbands were given out daily for a seat in the main courtroom, and about 100-150 wristbands for the overflow area. But again, the trial ended two days ago.
And as you know by now, Depp was awarded $8.35 million, and Heard’s lawyer says Amber can’t pay it.
