Star Jones told ex-colleagues Joy Behar, Madeiene Veira, and Debbie Matenopoulos that she wishes she acknowledged her health on the show.

“If I’m 100 percent honest, I regret not being strong enough to admit that I was in a depression and really ill about my health,” Jones said.

Jones then added: “It is my greatest achievement … that I am healthier now than I ever have been in my whole life.”

Star Jones co-hosted from 1997 to 2006. New conservative voice Alyssa Farah Griffin joins The View next month.

Griffin is replacing Meghan McCain as the show’s conservative host starting next month. But as relayed by Suggest.com, Griffin isn’t exactly a popular choice. Fans have already threatened to boycott The View once the aide to former president Donald Trump takes her seat.

View co-host Joy Behar recently offered praise over the selection in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“Alyssa has got a whole different personality. I think it will be smoother, frankly,” Behar said. “I think this girl is going to do very well — I call her girl because she’s only 32-years old.”

Along with Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and Griffin, Sarah Haines and Sunny Hostin will be back on the ABC daytime hit. Hostin, in fact, recently agreed to a two-year deal, as we relayed recently.
