An unidentified pilot in the Air Force, stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, was driving his motorcycle when he encountered a protest in action. The protest was causing traffic to back up, and as he sat waiting, the mob decided to target him in a despicable way. The pilot had two Confederate flags attached to his bicycle, and apparently to them, that made it OK to violently attack him.

The group surrounded his motorcycle, rocking it back and forth. Then they started their assault, beating him with a baseball bat, hitting him with a glass bottle filled with red paint, and spraying him in the eyes with mace. When a witness tried to help the pilot, he was also sprayed in the face with mace. When police officers responded, the mob ran away, but they did a lot of damage — they ran to City Hall, where they broke windows and doors with baseball bats, metal poles, and rocks.

The group calls themselves the “Anarchists” and it’s described by police as a local hate group. The men responsible for attacking the pilot are described as two white males, standing about six feet, four inches tall. The people involved in the protest wore black and camouflage clothing, with masks covering their face. Anyone with information about the people responsible for the attack on this Air Force officer are urged to call the Olympia Police Department at 360-753-8300 or Thurston County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
