Actor Bradley Cooper joined Howard Stern on Tuesday to talk about his new film “American Sniper,” based on the life of famed Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
Stern, who heaped continuous praise on the film throughout the interview, wondered if it will be regarded as pro-war or anti-war. Cooper responded that maybe people are missing the point.
“Maybe people are uncomfortable with the military, which is why I’m so happy we made the f*cking movie,” Cooper said of “American Sniper.”
“There are tons of vets that are coming back, in exponential numbers…we gotta take care of them, because it’s a reality,” he added.
Cooper hopes that people ultimately appreciate the film for the sacrifice that military families go through.
“It’s about what these servicemen and women go through,” Cooper said. “We have to take care of them.”
Stern agreed, telling Cooper that the film was “amazing” and a good reminder of “what these guys do.”
