One of the three men who helped thwart a terrorist attack aboard a train bound for France is in the hospital recovering after being violently attacked. Officials originally feared airman Spencer Stone would not survive his injuries after being stabbed in the chest multiple times outside of a bar in Sacramento. However, he fought for his life and after receiving surgery, was listed in stable condition. Police so far do not believe that the attack was related to the terrorist attempt on the train, or that it is related to terrorism in any way. A witness claimed that Stone appeared to be trying to protect a woman who had been punched by a man — and got stabbed in the process. Now, the Air Force has set up an e-mail address for people to send messages to Stone and wish him a speedy recovery.

Anyone who wishes to contact Stone can send an e-mail to airmanstone@us.af.mil. Air Force officials will be monitoring the account, and then passing the messages on to Stone and his family. Stone is continuing to recover, and the hospital reports that he is awake, in good spirits, and able to get out of bed.

Police are on the lookout for the people who attacked Stone. They are searching for two Asian men who fled the scene in a dark colored Toyota Camry.
