Noah Galloway learned the perils of appearing on reality TV the hard way this week. The theme for the dances was Spring Break, and he and partner Sharna Burgess were assigned to dance the rumba. But before their dance kicked off, footage from that week’s rehearsals was played. Producers chose to air a fight between Galloway and Burgess, during which he told her he felt disrespected — and that footage had him rattled. There was a brief hiccup in their dance and afterwards, he told the judges that he couldn’t get it out of his mind. He later explained that he was frustrated because the argument was his fault, but the footage targeted Sharna. He didn’t appreciate someone that he called a friend being made to look bad over something that he did.
Despite the tension over the rehearsal footage, their dance still went well. The judges praised him for his fluidity and his hip action, as well as for successfully taking on more content than in previous weeks. He was rewarded with a score of 29 out of 40. He also danced a Spring Break-themed team dance, showing off his strength and agility with some impressive lifts. The team dance netted them an additional score of 39 out of 40.
Galloway was safe once again this week.
