The Coast Guard rescued a sailor who has been missing since January. Louis Jordan was reported missing by his family on Jan. 29, along with his sailing vessel, the Angel. After they still had not heard from him in February, the family notified the Coast Guard, who began searching for Jordan, with no success.

But today, the Coast Guard received a call from the Houston Express, a German container ship, saying they had spotted the disabled boat. Jordan was taken aboard the Houston Express, which is where the Coast Guard picked him up, 200 miles off the North Carolina coast. The helicopter flight took so long that they had to stop and refuel aboard the Navy carrier George H.W. Bush.

Jordan was reportedly found floating on the hull of his vessel, which was overturned after losing its mast and capsizing. He said he survived by catching fish and eating them.
