ABC News decided to honor a special kind of mother this year for Mother’s Day: the mom that puts on a uniform in defense of her country.

While it must be hard for any parent to be away from their child, it must be especially so for a mother. This compilation video shows reunions that are perhaps the sweetest kind: children being reunited with their military mothers. It’s sure to bring tears to even the driest eye.
