Last night, an Apache helicopter crashed in South Korea, killing both pilots on board. Army officials confirmed the deaths of the two soldiers, but did not release their names. The pilots will not be identified until next of kin has been notified.

The pilots were with 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, and were on a routine training mission before crashing about 50 miles east of Camp Humphreys. Local residents reported seeing a fire, and South Korean soldiers secured the crash site until American troops could respond. The cause of the crash is still not known, and an investigation is expected.
