Carol Johnsons is a zone merchandise supervisor at Walmart, and while her husband was deployed, what she describes as her “Walmart family” helped get her through it. So when he came home, Walmart teamed up with her husband and the Army to give her an incredible surprise homecoming.
Under the guise of a team meeting, Carol stood, completely unaware of who their next “speaker” was going to be. That speaker was, of course, her husband, and accompanied by flowers and balloons, gave her the surprise homecoming of her life. Smiles and tears were everywhere as the two embraced and were finally reunited. Her manager explained that they try to treat the employees there like family, and so there was no question for them about helping do something special for someone who they consider one of the family.
