In a new post on his website, Charlie implores those on the left to take a breath and just let the newly-elected President do his job. Charlie also reminds those protesting the new President that Donald Trump was put in office by those who felt they had no voice in the national conversation.

Charlie writes, “[Trump] was elected fair and square and – regardless of what a negative media and self-serving political figures may claim – Trump did not win the election because of Russian hacking or any other outside influence, but because of the votes of working people who felt they were being left out of the process, Americans who saw their individual rights threatened by a continuation of bigger and bigger government, dangerous fiscal policies and the disappearance of their jobs.”

Charlie goes on to say that President Trump deserves at least a trial period in office before people write him off.

“Give him a chance,” Charlie explains. “He’s made a lot of promises, he’s set the bar very high, so let’s see what happens in the next few months, because, if you’re like me, you’re really worried about America and want to see good things happen.”

While writing this post, Charlie was actually watching now President Trump’s inauguration on television. After he took the oath of office, Charlie added, “The sky hasn’t fallen in, the world hasn’t stopped spinning and we still breathe free air.”
