A little fresh, a little fast and a couple of fails dominated the headlines this week in country music

Rare Country

Spring has sprung! As the daffodils and tulips emerge, new music and new artists are popping up on Music Row. In this week’s Rare Country’s 5, Erin Holt has the scoop on the newness in Nashville, but she’s also reminds us that it isn’t always good times and easy living when you’re a celebrity. Check it out!

Our No. 5 story has been music to our ears…literally. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have released a new duet, and it is pure magic. The waltz-y ballad sounds like an instruction guide for their daughters’ potential suitors, but in reality, it’s a beautiful lesson in graceful communication for all of us. Remember, y’all, respect your mama!

Discovering new artists is like finding hidden treasure and our No. 4 story is the newest gem we’ve found. Carly Pearce has been in Nashville for a little time, but she just released her single “Every Little Thing,” and we’re bowled over. It’s a dark and heartbreaking breakup ballad, but it’s also a reminder that we’ve all been there and it does get better. Check out Erin’s video for more.

It’s one of the biggest steps in the marital process, sometimes bigger for the bride than the actual ceremony and vows. Our No. 3 story finds Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s beautiful wife, Amy, taking that step. The pretty blonde changed her name. The government now officially recognizes her as an Earnhardt. From the sounds of it, it was a pretty powerful moment for the NASCAR driver. Erin has more details in Rare Country’s 5.

We would never call this country music superstar an idiot, but he doesn’t hesitate to pin the description on himself. In our No. 2 story, Luke Bryan shames himself when it comes to disagreeing with his breathtaking wife, Caroline. It sounds like his intentions are good, but once he starts digging a hole, well, it just gets deeper. There’s more in Rare Country’s 5.

It breaks our hearts a little to see celebrities sharing their personal lives on social media and then becoming targets of judgmental haters. Sweet Jana Kramer was simply being a proud mom, inviting friends to see how she and baby girl Jolie were spending their vacation — only some followers didn’t agree with her destination or their activities. After facing harsh words, Jana removed one photo, then replaced it and stood her ground. Check out Rare Country’s 5 to see what Erin has to say.
