Some of our favorite country stars have the best stage shows at their concerts. Some have lights, pyro or choreography, others dip into the audience peeling off face-melting guitar riffs, and still others bring out special guests for duets or bring fans onstage to sing and dance with them.

And sometimes the best part of a show doesn’t happen onstage at all. It happens in the audience. That’s what happened March 24 at Brad Paisley’s show in Oklahoma.

We see plenty of fights in the crowds at country music shows. Artists have even been known to stop their shows mid-song to break up scuffles or call security for assistance. But on this particular night, it wasn’t a fight. On the contrary, it was a moment of pure romance. Not the “get a room” kind, but the kind that made witnesses’ hearts swell with adoration and eyes well with tears.
There, in the audience, was a silver-haired couple. As you hear Brad singing his current smash, “Today,” the gentleman takes the hands of the beautiful lady, who seems unable to stand on her own, and dances to the tender ballad about making memories. We suspect this couple has many memories in the scrapbook of their life together, but this one will go down as a moment for everyone that saw them to remember.

Even fans who didn’t witness this precious dance firsthand, like Brad, have commented on how powerful, pure, beautiful and true their love is.
Brad wrote, “I don’t know this older couple’s name, but wow, what a romance. So inspiring. The memory of a day like today, indeed.”
