We all have our routine on Sundays. For some, it’s a trip to church. For others, it’s dinner stewing in the slow cooker. And for others, the day is simply an excuse to stop and smell the roses.

And, it’s the day that served as the essence of one of Craig Morgan’s biggest hits.

“That’s What I Love About Sunday” gave Craig a No. 1 single in 2005, spending four weeks at the top of the country charts. It told the story of the simplicity of a Sunday at a local church, with people from all walks of life filling the pews in the hopes of being renewed in the Spirit for yet another week. It goes on to recall those common Sunday activities, from playing a game of football outside to putting on a favorite pair of jeans and relaxing with friends and family.

Sounds pretty good right about now, huh?

During Craig’s “American Stories” limited engagement concert experience at the end of 2016, “That’s What I Love about Sunday” was one of the songs he featured each and every night.

“Country music is all about storytelling,” he said in a press release about the tour. “[It’s about sharing] the songs and stories that move us and inspire us as Americans all while we celebrate the values of this great nation we call home.”
