Country music star John Rich wants you to stick your progress “where the sun don’t shine.” His new song, “Progress,” is now sitting pretty at #1 on iTunes. And it’s full of political statements which surely appeal to the MAGA crowd.

Rich shared the new song on the social media network Truth Social just after Thursday’s January 6 Hearing set Trump off. Truth Social is the platform of choice for Trump these days.
“Progress” begins with the words:
“There’s a hole in this country
Where it’s heart used to be.”
Rich’s lyrics go on to condemn Biden and his Build Back Better plan, the way American soldiers were treated in Afghanistan, and the perceived censorship that many MAGA followers are strongly feeling today.
The video features a juxtaposition of green pastures and destruction, babies and homeless people.
“They bent us all over but it’s all over now
Because we figured it out
We ain’t backing down.”
As American Songwriter points out, “Progress” is sure to become the next MAGA rallying cry.
“Stick your progress where the sun don’t shine
Keep your big mess away from me and mine
If you leave us alone we’d all be just fine.”
