Listen as Dale Earnhardt Jr. drops the f-bomb on live television

Dale Earnhardt Jr. waits in the garage area prior to the opening practice session for the NASCAR auto race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., Friday, March 24, 2017. Only 24 drivers in NASCAR history have started 600 races, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. joins the club Sunday. After a slow start to his first season back from a concussion, he would love to celebrate the milestone with his first win on the well-aged asphalt at Fontana, where he typically runs quite well. “What the fuck happened up there?” Dale Jr. was caught saying on live television during the race broadcast when his race day ended as a result of a seven-car pileup late in the race.

Soon after, Dale Jr.’s disappointment was still evident in a serious of tweets. “Damnit,” he wrote. “What a shitty result after having such a fast car. [It] was a damn blast out there today. So pissed.”

And about that live television swear word? Well, he had something to say about that, too. “Ya I heard I got an F-bomb on TV,” he wrote. “That’s pretty cool. Hope no one was offended. That’s racin’.”

“We got bottled-up there in [Turn] 3 and they’re ain’t no bumpers on these cars. It knocked the radiator out of it,” he told Fox Sports after the race. “So, we’re out of the race. … So, we’re done. I was having a good time. But, I’m disappointed with the way we’re finishing. We’ve got to finish better than this.”
