We’ve been waiting (not patiently), but we have been waiting for Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher to announce that they are expecting baby No. 2.

Unfortunately, no such announcement has been made, but Carrie has made it clear that she hopes to add to their little family and any time would be great. We couldn’t agree more, Carrie. While baby Isaiah is as precious as gold, we wouldn’t mind seeing the family with a baby girl added to it, especially since we’re sure she would be dressed like a little doll.

Proof of that can be found in a gift that Carrie recently sent to “Today” show host Hoda Kotb. Hoda adopted a precious baby girl, Haley Joy, in February, and the singer-songwriter gifted her a very appropriate present considering her background and Hoda’s love of country music — pink cowboy boots.
Hoda shared a photo of the precious kicks on her Instagram page and, not surprising, she confirmed that they were Haley Joy’s first boots. She also told Carrie, “I can’t wait until you meet her!”

We’re betting that Carrie is more excited for that meeting than Hoda or Haley. There isn’t much that is as intoxicating as the smell of a baby. A clean, dry and freshly powdered baby, anyway.
Carrie is working on her next album during her break, but we still have our fingers crossed that more than new music comes from her time off. Maybe a “sweet little beautiful, one just like you” all-American girl, or boy, is in the works, too.
