It’s been one wild summer so far for Thomas Rhett’s sweet and adorable daughter Willa Gray. Not only are her parents getting used to being parents, while also preparing for the birth of their second child, but Willa herself is also getting used to life in the states after being adopted from her native Uganda. Just this past week, Lauren shared with fans a series of pictures of the family’s trip to the beach, something that Willa seems to love.

“Bye bye beach,” Lauren wrote in a June 29 Twitter post. “Safe to say you’re Willa Gray’s new best friend.”

It’s a welcome sight to see Willa fall in love with the surf and sand, since Thomas recently told Rare Country that her hasn’t quite become best friends with the family’s dogs just yet.

“She had seen just a few stray dogs during her life before coming here, but it took Willa and the dogs about a week to adapt,” Thomas told Rare Country before his June 23 performance at Country LakeShake in Chicago. “Our oldest dog is Kona, and Willa’s room used to be the room where Kona would have a bed and sleep all day. So now that Willa is here, I think Kona is like, ‘Who is this human taking over my space?’”
