The bright lights of New York were no match for Luke Bryan’s bright smile as he took over the Times Square stage on New Year’s Eve.

Bryan, Ryan Seacrest, and about a billion of their closest, television-watching friends rang in the new year from Times Square in the heart of New York. Luke took over New York, but the bright lights did not overshadow the superstar, who was clad in his signature tight jeans, black jacket and sporting a spiffy new haircut. He performed “That’s My Kinda Night” and his new hit “Move.”

Ever the good husband, Luke also made it a point to tell host Ryan Seacrest on the broadcast that New Year’s Eve was also his wife Caroline’s birthday.
As for the magic moment when the ball dropped? Luke was onstage with fellow country star Carrie Underwood, along with Charlie Puth, Wiz Khalifa and Demi Lovato for the all-important countdown.
Now that New Year’s is over, Luke is leaving the New York cold behind for a week of sunshine in Mexico. His annual Crash My Playa trip with Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Brett Eldredge, Chris Stapleton and Craig Campbell kicks off on Jan. 22.
