Country star Reba McEntire wants to bring back Reba. Maybe not as much as her fans — including us — but it sounds like she is making a run at it.

“We’ve really been trying hard to do a reboot of the Reba show,” she told iHeart radio. “I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during that six-and-a-half years.”
Reba is comedy series that ran from 2001-07 on the WB and CW networks. It grew a cult following across multiple demographics. McEntire played “Reba Hart,” whose husband (Christopher Rich) left her for his younger, pregnant dental hygienist (Melissa Peterman).
“Further complicating matters are the Harts’ children: pregnant high school senior Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), sarcastic middle child Kyra (Scarlett Pomers), and Jake (Mitch Holleman), the youngest,” wrote Insider.com.
Despite the difficulties of Reba Hart, Reba McEntire said the show was basically a blast. Fans loved it and are likely rooting for modern version.
“It was fun — the cast, the crew, everybody we got to work with and play with, they were wonderful people,” she said. “We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully that will happen one day.”
