Even successful country artists get lonely. And when sweet RaeLynn talks about her loneliness, it just about breaks your heart.

If you recall, the sweet country singer and her husband, Joshua Davis, announced in February that he enlisted in the military and had left for basic training. The young couple had been married nearly a year, but RaeLynn was so proud of her husband’s sacrifice, she expressed nothing but support and love.

Fortunately, the diminutive singer-songwriter has had her tour with Blake Shelton and the March 24 launch of her new album, “Wildhorse,” to keep her occupied, but it sure doesn’t take the place of having her husband home. And in a March 20 post on her Instagram page, RaeLynn talked about the mix of emotions she has been feeling.

“Haven’t seen my husband in 35 days and I have 41 more to go,” she writes. “Not gonna lie, this has been one the hardest things I’ve been through. I’m so thankful for everything God is doing in my life and in my career but this guy brings me so much Joy and literally is my rock.”

The sweet and romantic post continues, “They say that time makes the heart grow fonder, I didn’t think I could love him any more than I already do but I do. Everyday my heart falls deeper in love with the man that he is and everything that he means to me.”

RaeLynn and Josh tied the knot on Feb. 27, 2016. Since his departure last month, their communication has been limited to handwritten letters and three-minute phone calls. We are in awe of the level of maturity displayed by both RaeLynn and Josh, and we are quite proud of both of them. And Josh, thank you for your service.
