Thomas Rhett loves all three.
With his wife Lauren on a mission trip to Africa, Thomas took advantage of some alone time July 9 to crash his mom’s girls night out with her friends, as he was more than happy to share on his Instagram posting a selfie of him and his mama bear with the tagline “Had to crash moms girls night out tonight in Nashville.”
While he may have grown up with a superstar Daddy in Rhett Akins, who was knocking out hit songs in the mid-90s like “That Ain’t My Truck,” “She Said Yes” and the No. 1 “Don’t Get Me Started,” Thomas is quick to point out how much he loves his mom.

“My mom’s a saint,” Rhett told CMT. “Growing up, mom really made sure that I had my head on straight and was always getting me involved in the youth group and always getting me to go on youth group trips and to camps. She is a big, big reason I am the way that I am today. Mom just instilled a lot of good morals into me, and I have a lot of my mom in me as far as morals go and, you know, just the way that we view life and the way that we love people.”

As the saying goes, the way a guy treats his mother is the way he will treat you. No wonder Lauren Akins is one of the happiest women on the planet.
